How to join our Online Group Meditations

1. Sign our Visitor Book

The first step is to sign our Visitor Book. Once you are a Guest member you can join our free online group meditations, which currently take place on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You'll find the schedule here.

2. Prepare your environment

Sessions last one hour. Find a quiet place where you can sit undisturbed for the duration of the session. Try to choose a room which is free from noise or other distractions. If it’s uncluttered and simple, all the better.

3. Make sure you have a stable internet connection

You can use any computer (Mac or PC), tablet, or smartphone (iOS or Android) that has a reliable internet connection. Remember to plug your device into a power outlet so your battery doesn't run out during the session.

4. Download and install Zoom

On a desktop or laptop computer, visit this link to download Zoom. Follow the prompts to install Zoom for Mac or PC. On a mobile device or tablet, go to the Apple App store or the Google Play store and install Zoom Cloud Meetings. You don’t need to create a Zoom account to access these services.

5. Navigate to the Meditation Hall

Make sure you are logged in to Manifest Nirvana. Navigate to the Meditation Hall on the dashboard. When you are logged in, the hall will automatically open at the times listed in the meditation schedule. When a meditation is live, the space will have a LIVE NOW badge on it.

6. Automatic muting

When you enter the Meditation Hall you will be automatically muted, so don't worry, you won't disturb anyone else, even if you enter the meditation after the start time. You'll most likely find it more powerful if you maintain a regular practice and join the groups on time, but don't let it stop you if you're going to be late!

7. Audio & Video settings

If this is your first time joining a Zoom meeting, you will be asked to allow Zoom permission to access the camera and microphone. You need to allow both for Zoom to work properly and then when prompted select “Join with computer/device audio”. We also encourage you to turn your own camera on – we find that this enhances the experience of online group meditations. Once you turn your video on you will be visible to other participants.

8. Begin meditating!

We recommend you watch or listen to one of the introductory talks on meditation which you will find in the Library. If you need any further help, click the WhatsApp popup (lower right) or email us. That's it, we hope you've found this information useful, and we look forward to welcoming you to our online group meditations.
